Reservations should be made three to four days before hand during low season and at least 30 days in advance during high season (December three months ahead of time).

Terminal is the starting point of a trip.  It represents our name in a direct fashion, for it belongs to Tica Bus.  Agency on the other hand, is a strategic alliance between Tica Bus and another entity, usually a travel agency or a hotel, that allows us to have a greater presence in the Central America market.

When traveling, it is important to take into consideration that you will need an average of $20 USD per day for food expenses.

Tica Bus does not have routes that travel during the night hours, due to relation between the amount of kilometers to be covered and the border crossing schedules.

Yes, Tica Bus runs all the routes everyday according to the established schedule and itinerary. Good Friday is the only day of the year that our service is not provided.

No, out of respect for non-smokers and because the bus travels with the windows closed and air conditioning, smoking on board is not allowed. 

No, dogs, cats, birds or other animals will NOT be transported.  However, a service animal, trained for the purpose of accompanying a disabled person, will be permitted to travel with the disabled person at no additional charge.  Proper documentation and permits for the animals must be presented during check-in.
